Mary Persons High
School Graduation Coach Raye McLuen spoke to local Rotarians about the
graduation rate of the school and the value of students having access to an
education coach in order to match their academic performance with their career
choices. Governor Sonny Perdue started the program in 2006 in order to monitor
and assist at risk high schoolers. Monroe County is proud to have
graduated 290 students in 2016 showing a 87% graduation rate for the year. The
state average graduation rate is 81%.
